We understand that exercise and physical activity is good for just about everyone, including older adults. There are four main types of exercise and each type provides different benefits for your overall well being. Participating in all four will help you to maintain health and function as you age.
Two programs are available at the First United Methodist Church
Energizers
is a low-impact aerobic class for active seniors. These exercises are designed to increase your heart and respiratory rates. Resistance bands and light weights are also used to maintain muscle strength and function. Stretching exercises and chair yoga are included to maintain flexibility. Balance and function are improved by the variety of activities offered in this class. This one hour long class meets each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Lodi.
Cost - $8 per class or $40 per month
Pacesetters
is an adapted exercise program for seniors that wish to remain seated or stand, but exercise at a slower pace. Exercises that can be performed from a chair, or holding onto a chair, are featured in this class. This is a great class for someone who has been inactive or has physical limitations. Participants report experiencing better hand-eye coordination, improved sense of well-being, balance and strength, and even weight loss. This 45 minute class meets each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:15 AM at First United Methodist Church of Lodi.
Cost - $5 per class or $30 per month
Emily's Personal Training (EPT) Program
Personal Group Classes
is a combination of Strength & Core Training, Stretching, Pilates, and Yoga. This class is co-ed and designed for all fitness levels.
Individual Personal Training
Available by Appointment
Prices vary for private and semi-private sessions with referral discounts
Sessions are especially geared to each person's goals, physical capabilities, drive to improve over time to meet their expectations.

She is capable of analyzing your body and creating a fitness program that will help you reach your goals.
